Team Members at Cherry Tree Nursery in Bournemouth enjoyed a series of trips to landmarks around Dorset during 2025 – helping to enhance their wellbeing.

For the annual Team Members’ coach trip in July, Harry Roffey Day, a visit took place to Sculpture by the Lakes, near Dorchester, followed by a visit to Dorchester town centre.

Team Members enjoyed exploring the beautiful, tranquil setting of Sculpture by the Lakes, which is nestled in 26 acres of countryside, before sitting and enjoying the view while eating packed lunches provided by the Nursery.

In addition to the coach trip, Cherry Tree arranged minibus trips to local places of interest. It was a chance for Team Members to visit places they wouldn’t normally be able to get to – or feel able to go – by themselves.

In September, Team Members enjoyed a boat cruise to Wareham from Poole Harbour, courtesy of ‘The Friends of Dolphin’. They had the opportunity to enjoy fish and chips on the boat at Wareham Quay.

During September, we were invited to Holme Gardens near Wareham where everyone enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens.

In early October, Team Members visited Arne nature reserve. They went on a guided tour, focusing on wellbeing in nature, and enjoyed some time by themselves exploring the reserve.

In total, over 40 Team Members have enjoyed at least one trip out this year, which makes a massive difference to their mental wellbeing. It is noticeable how energised and engaged they are when returning from the trips out.
